$8.00 Chair

I am always needing extra seating when I have family gatherings. I found this chair while junking for $8.00 and couldn’t pass it up.   I made the decision to use Annie Sloan’s color Graphite.  My intentions when I started this project was to use a dark wax giving the chair a almost black color but after painting and distressing it, I loved the Graphite, so Annie Sloan Soft Wax Clear was used.  Now, I am on the hunt for another chair just like  this one so I can use them at the end’s of my dining table.

Directions:

1. Wipe chair clean with a soft cloth or soft bristle brush.
2. Paint one coat of Annie Sloan color Graphite paint.  Let dry overnight; touch up any missed spots with paint.
3. Let dry for several days before sanding or distressing.  Sand in areas you want to distress.
4. Wipe clear wax over entire piece with a soft cloth.  Let dry for about 3-4 hours.  Buff.
