I am always needing extra seating when I have family gatherings. I found this chair while junking for $8.00 and couldn’t pass it up. I made the decision to use Annie Sloan’s color Graphite. My intentions when I started this project was to use a dark wax giving the chair a almost black color but after painting and distressing it, I loved the Graphite, so Annie Sloan Soft Wax Clear was used. Now, I am on the hunt for another chair just like this one so I can use them at the end’s of my dining table.
Directions:
- Wipe chair clean with a soft cloth or soft bristle brush.
- Paint one coat of Annie Sloan color Graphite paint. Let dry overnight; touch up any missed spots with paint.
- Let dry for several days before sanding or distressing. Sand in areas you want to distress.
- Wipe clear wax over entire piece with a soft cloth. Let dry for about 3-4 hours. Buff.
