Pear Crumble

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in large skillet; add  maple syrup, cinnamon and lemon juice.  Add sliced pears and stir; saute over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until pears are tender.Mix the cornstarch with the water together in a small bowl until pasty.
  3. Stir into the pears, and simmer, covered on low heat until the mixture becomes thick.
  4. Stir in the honey, vanilla extract, and lemon zest.
  5. Transfer this mixture to a 8×8 baking dish or pie plate.
  6. Mix oatmeal, brown sugar, and softened butter until blended.
  7. Sprinkle on top of the pear mixture.
  8. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
